Job Summary:

This position serves as the primary support person for the Clinic Administrative Director for all clinical functions at COSM.  The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring efficiency in workflow and attention to detail in organizing, planning and completion of day to day operations for all COSM clinic locations.  The position will be the primary day to day contact for COSM physicians and clinical staff in the operations of all clinics.  Position will be a 1.0 FTE administrative role with no scheduled clinical support time.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for positive workplace culture, engagement and teamwork within clinical departments

  • Accountability for managing daily clinical staff scheduling and resource management based on clinic need and patient volume

  • Clinical staff hiring & performance management with support of Clinic Administrative Director

  • Accountable for a positive patient experience for all patients at COSM locations

  • Provide clinical support through gaining knowledge of daily clinical workflows by specialty and understanding of all roles within clinical departments

  • Provide suggestions for improved patient flow & efficiencies of practice

  • Daily rounding and visibility within clinics

  • Intra-departmental communication; “Go-to” person for day-to-day issues in the department

  • Project management as assigned for clinical department strategies to enhance efficiency and growth

  • Maintains accountability for current department policies & procedures with support of Clinic Administrative Director

  • Development of clinical staff communication plan including, but not limited to (daily huddles, monthly meetings and ongoing written communication)

  • Management of supplies for clinical areas

  • Monitor clinical staff training & certifications

  • Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent

  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to fifty (50) pounds

  • Keen sense of eyesight and hearing

  • Ability to stand or sit for an extended period of time

  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel, talk or hear

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required

  • Post secondary education strongly preferred

  • Clinical experience as a Technologist, Nurse or other applicable profession highly preferred

  • Strong work tenure: three to five years of experience in a clinical or supervisory role

  • Experience in active involvement in improvement projects with teams and individuals

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat
